There are some short duration shots that match up well with the pace of the steady pace of the song. The music matches up effectively with the mood portrayed by the artist, as the artist looks as if she is annoyed about the bad day she is having, which is exactly what the song is about. The dark shadows near the trees in the forest location shots also contribute to the negative, angry mood portrayed by the song, and a cut-away was used to show this particular location. There are some recurring motifs used in the music video, which involve several shots of the artist singing against a dark grey wall, and shots of the artist leaning against a wooden bench, which make the artist's mood more noticeable in the visuals. Close-ups of the artist have also been used to focus on the artist and her facial expressions, and the tracking shot has been used to do this as well, so that we as an audience feel that we are looking at a typical day of the artist's life. A split-screen editing technique was effectively used to show the artist up in a tree as she is singing, and some fade-in transitions are used in between the first few shots in the music video, which are establishing shots that have been used to give the audience a strong understanding of what the location is like.
Pros: - good lip syncing - good locations - group dance scenes were well synchronised, clearly well rehearsed - shots were well done - The mood created by the music is expressed well by the artist.
Cons: - More locations needed - some shots were quite long - when the shot splits into four it would have been nice if it were faster and more upkeeping with the beat of the song - more variety of shots needed - certain parts were repetative
i liked the locations used in this video and its good for the theme taken for the digipak. The dance routines fit with the genre of your music video and the shot variations contribute to this. The close ups used are good for the conventions of a music video with the damand of the artist to be shown.
I liked the split screen but it unfortunately didnt fit in with the beat of the music. The locations were good but could have used a few more to show variation and some of the shots used were repetitive
